YouTube r Valkyrae has blocked a prominent fan update account on X, after the page publicly complained about how often she streams on her own channel.
The dispute started when the account argued that collaborating on other creators’ channels doesn’t count as streaming for Valkyrae’s own community.
“If you’re not live on your channel, then you’re not streaming, you’re collabing on someone’s channel,” it wrote, adding: “It sucks being a Valkyrae fan sometimes because she never streams.”
Addressing the situation live, Valkyrae explained why she took the unusual step of blocking rather than muting. “I normally don’t block people. I just mute. But I felt like I have to set an example in this case,” she said. “I don’t care how much of a fan you are. There needs to be a little bit of boundaries.”

She pushed back on the account using her branding while criticizing her publicly. “You can’t be having your f*king verified account called ValkyHub acting like you work for me,” she said. “I can’t be having people that act like they’re part of the community to be like, man, it sucks being a Valkyrae fan sometimes because she never streams. F*k you. Seriously.”
She admitted the post had gotten to her more than expected. “I hate that I actually felt a little embarrassed. All of my friends were like, dude, what’s wrong with that” She added that some fans “do act a smidge entitled to my time.”

Valkyrae also addressed the broader expectation that streaming should be her only focus, pointing to her role running media company HiHi Studios. “I’ve got a team of like 30 people to feed,” she said. “Don’t watch me if you’re expecting streams every day. I’m not just a streamer.”
She closed by reflecting on how long she’s been doing this. “I’m turning 35 in January. I’ve been streaming for 12 years. We gotta let it go.”
Fan entitlement has been a recurring issue for Valkyrae over the years. She previously explained why she blocked “like a million” viewers live on YouTube after a wave of aggressive comments in her chat.
